Orchid Island, Vero Beach is where one can experience tropical living at its finest. Bordered by the Sebastian Inlet and the Indian River Lagoon, Orchid Island is accessible by bridge from the main land while the main thoroughfare on the island is A1A.
For those who are considering relocating to Orchid Island, Vero Beach, the area is great for families, young couples, and retirees. With a host of things to do, including boating, fishing, sunbathing, and golfing, residents will never get bored.
The town of Orchid, where my father was the Mayor, is the area that I would recommend to interested buyers. Occupying a total area of 1.8 square miles, the town has less than 500 residents and still maintains an atmosphere of a tranquil waterfront retreat. A majority of the town is taken up by the Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club, where my parents built one of the first homes in the early 90’s. This gated community has a number of real estate options to choose from including quaint cottages, condominiums, and golf course properties.
One of the biggest attractions of the Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club is its Arnold Palmer designed, par 72, 18-hole golf course. In addition to a challenging golf course, residents of Orchid Island have full access to the 25,000 square foot Beach Club and a host of other recreational activities.
